Where our information comes from

We ground our training and behavior content in publicly available guidance from recognized organizations in canine behavior and welfare — the kind of sources a certified trainer would also point to — rather than from forums, anecdotal blog posts, or unverified social media claims. Each article's "Sources" section names the type of reference used so readers can verify claims independently.

What we don't do

We don't invent statistics, studies, or survey data. We don't attribute quotes to real researchers or organizations unless we can verify them. We don't create fictional "expert reviewers" or credentials to make an article look more authoritative than it is.

Review before publishing

Before an article is published, our editorial team checks it against three things: internal consistency with other articles in the library, alignment with current positive-reinforcement training guidance, and plain-language clarity for a reader with no training background.

Keeping content current

Training guidance evolves slowly compared to, say, medical advice, but it does evolve. We periodically revisit older articles and log any substantive update on our corrections page.
